I first want to say that i think Ellen is such a kind and caring person. She has a huge heart and is always helping others. It would just be nice to have a new start in my life and some big dreams to start happening because there has been so much heartache. In 2011 i lost custody of my little girl because of money and connectons that my ex had. It was the most painful thing i have ever been through. My daughter went through so much because she was taken away from me. I have also been through so much as a loving mother to lose custody just because the system cares more about money, which i didnt have then whats best for the child.I fought legally for my angel for a few years straight and have had 4 lawyers and this situation never got turned around. I have had some health issuses because of all the stress from this injustice situation,so i have had to give this situation over to God and believe in time everything will work out. My angel is now 11 years old and her dad still has full custody of her and i just cherish every moment with her when i get time with her. Things are somewhat better, but there is still aftermath from this painful situation that we just do our best to work through. Even all thats happened i still have a huge heart for others as well and help do things for others when i can. Things have just been so hard emotionally, finacially and in everyway and it would just be a blessing to have a new car, especially after all my daughter and me have been through. Sincerly,Tara Vanzandt

Hello Ellen! Thank you very much for your generosity and caring heart. I started watching your shows in 2008 when I arrived in America, even though I could understand a word you said, I just laughed along as the audience laughed. I’ve watched it since then, and I really love it. Growing up in a poor country, and having to walk everywhere for hours, having a car would give me a chance to experience the life and dream I’ve always dreamed of, to have a car of my own someday. When I moved to Iowa, I lost both of my parents when I was 13 years old, which made my life even difficult than it was. During high school, I couldn’t get a school bus because I lived about 5 miles away, so still I walked to school everyday even in winter time. I became very independent at very young age, stayed with my aunts, but they sent me out of their house the day of my high school graduation. I slept in car for almost 3 months, but my biggest goal was to go to school and get a degree in Nursing. I was denied to many schools because I couldn’t provide parents information, and I couldn’t use my aunts information. I decided to look for a job because I also had kids to care for in Africa. I worked double shift so I could raise enough money to buy a better car someday and still help those orphans kids in Africa, but still I could not afford a good better car, for I have so much bills to pay to his day. I feel like I’ve helped so much, so I’ve decided to find away to be enrolled in college. I got accepted to Iowa State University in Social Science and I really want to better my life, but many things are getting in my way, including a car. I could live on campus, but I can’t afford that, so I would need to be driving there, which is 20 minutes drive. I’ve been praying for God to provide away for to get car, and I’ve not given now, for I have a strong belief that someday it’s gonna happen. I went through so much trials in life, but he never left me. Having this car would not only give me a break from riding buses everywhere, but it would give me hope and a better future. It would be like a miracle from heaven. It will give me a chance I’ve been longing and searching for the last 4 years. I really really want go to school and finish my degree, and one day, I would be able to start a nonprofit organization.

Winning this car would mean survival. My husband has been diagnosed with
parkinson’s disease for three years. All of our savings has gone to pay for personal assistants to help us. Because my back is weak and I cant lift on him.
Our car is not running and we cant afford another one. a car would mean a better life for us all. Thanks for considering us. God bless you all there. Wish I could meet you Ellen – your my hero. Love your show and dance. Smile!

To win a new car would mean the world to my family! It would be my first new car it would help getting my boys to the doctor they both have asthma so I have to know my vehicle will start every day or middle of night just at all times because not only are my boys dealing with there medical issues their loving father has asthma, C.O.P.D ifuzma. I worry about all of them day and night and even though the boys maybe in better health than others I believe any good mother would want the best for her family and knowing if I needed to rush one of them to hospital that I have a vehicle that will start and get us there and home. I just would be so thankful for this wonderful prize and honestly just getting to watch Ellen every day gives me joy, relaxed, smiles, hope, and a meaning to keep doing what I’m doing everyday being me a loving mother.

Hi Ellen. I watch your show every day and it is the highlight of my day. I am a 79-year-old widow on a fixed income, I am still paying on my 2011 Cheve Cruze and because of financial constraints I may have to sell it. I am not looking forward to that day because I have been driving since I was 17. Since my husband passed away I have had to sell my house because it was becoming expensive to keep up. I am still able to drive but if I have to get rid of my car I will have to resort to senior transportation buses, which are not always reliable and the older I get I seem to be having weekly appointments to doctors, dentists, etc. Selling my car will mean losing my independence….

Dear Ellen…I am a widow of eight years since my husband passed.. I on a fixed income.. Trying to make ends meet….This would be such a BLESSING for me. I currently take a bus or walk to different places, close to me.. I been without a car for two years.. Payments were entirely to high for my income that is fixed…In six to seven months I am suppose to get a senior high rise apartment.. There are seven people in front of me. It would help in moving from a rental house to the high rise.. Have rented this house for 20 years.. During this time I was a care taker for my husband, who had a liver transplant, for 10 years, with many side effects of stroke and other problems. Passed with lung cancer.. He is resting in peace.. This would be such a BLESSING in my life. Thank You for hearing my story.. GOD BLESS You Ellen for the wonderful things you do for other people.. TAKE CARE LOVE BEVERLY MARCHEWKA..

First of all, thank you for your generosity and your compassion for people. I watch the show every day and the smile you put on people’s faces is inspiring me to try to help in a small way or any way I can. I am disabled due to losing my leg and now being in endstage kidney failure. I have an old car but am always worried about what it might do if I am alone. My significant other has to get up early (4:30 a.m.) and take me and then go to work. After my treatment he has to leave work and take me back home again. I know this is a lot of stress on him but he never once has complained. It would mean the world to me to be able to transport myself to dialysis and all of my other doctor’s appointments. I know there a lot of others out there who may need one more than me. Thank you for the joy and compassion you show. I smile from the beginning of the show to the end. Afew tears at times but only because you are telling someone’s beautiful story.

Well, Ellen, I “don’t” have a really sad story to tell about wanting to win the car!
I just need a newer car, so that I can be an Uber driver. They require you to have one no older than 10 years old. I cannot afford to buy a different car than the one I have.
I need the job to make a little extra money! I am 68 and I am having some trouble getting by on my retirement and social security! I don’t want to ask my children for help either! It would just be a blessing to be able to work and at a job where I can set my own hours!!
Thanks so much for listening!! By the way, I love your show and watch it everyday!!!

I have a birthday coming up on April 17th. If I win my family doesn’t have to buy me gifts because you will be replacing my 2000 Jeep that has 260,415 miles on it. This new Chevy Malibu will make it safer for me when I drive 25 miles to pick up my grandkids and I won’t have to pray that we make it and they don’t have to sing “through the river and over the woods to Grandma’s house we go.” Love you Ellen; thanks for the opportunity.

Ellen..you rock!!! I am a senoir citizen..and grandma of 9…I live in a very rural part of Colorado and have to drive a lot . I have a 1997 car which I am grateful for but ..well it’s old. I often drive 4hours to see my grandkids and also drive them around when I’m there..It would be so wonderful not to have to pray that I will make it okay when I’m on the road. Our small town is 50 miles in either direction from major shopping areas although we do have a little grocerystorou are a beautiful person!e here.Love your show..y
